London Ashford Airport and London Oxford Airport, two smaller airports, are also not in London. The remaining four international 'London' airports - London Luton, London Stansted, London Southend and London Gatwick - are not actually in the capital. The former is to the west, put in the Borough of Hillingdon, and is one of the biggest airports in the whole world, while the latter is a smaller affair in East London's docklands. ![]() The only two, it turns out, that actually are in London are Heathrow and London City Airport. This, apparently, even means airports as far as 62 miles away from the actual city itself.
